Staybridge suites (Lake Buena Vista or International Drive)

We are planning our vacation for Disneyworld for next year. I hear that the place to be is International Drive. I haven%26#39;t been to Orlando since 1992 and I remember we stayed about 10 minutes from the attractions at a Comfort Suites with a ground floor room that had a living room, dining room, full kitchen, 1 bedroom, nice pool. It was very nice and clean. But that was 14 years ago.

What%26#39;s a better place to stay International Drive or Lake Buena Vista. There will be at least 6-8 of us. 4 adults ??? and 4 children?

The Staybridge seems to be a nice place. I want a suite with Full Kitchen, at least 3 Bedrooms, pools at the hotel, and washer and dryers in the room. HELP HELP.

I had posted the same question a while back with not a lot of joy, so I just went ahead and booked Beuna Vista one as from all the internet reviews it seemed to suit us better than I Drive.

Got a good deal as well. Went to book suite for 4 and they only had one left with that agent only problem was it was more expensive as was for 6 people. They tried to sell us different hotels but i had spent so long on the internet reviewing the whole brochure that I was adament Staybridge was what we wanted,(hope thats not a mistake!)

Coz we were going to walk out of the travel agents and think about it they seemed to panic and let us have the 6 (2baths 2bedrooms) for the price of the smaller suite.

Staybridge suites (Lake Buena Vista or International Drive)

Hi!

We booked the Lake Buena Vista suites as well for November. We are paying 178.00/nt all inclusive (tax is already added in) for 2 bdrm/2bth suite. I spent hours researching this one as well. I will give a review when we get back!!!!

Im hoping NorthwestMom that you will have a great time, and look forward to hearing what it is like(hopefully all good Pleeeeze). We are going in May. Did you ask for any specific rooms within the hotel or are you going with the flow. I asked for lake side, I think, as one review somewhere on the internet said that poolside could be a little noisey.

I have stayed at the Staybridge Suites on international drive and thought it was fab, to be honest I am quite surprised at the reviews it gets on here. The place was fantastic, it was in a brilliant location, the rooms were really big and clean, kitchen was well equipped. The only minor fault was the pool area as it was rather small!

Mrsmaryland,Bertie2 looks like had a good experience as well as Louchie at S.suites at I.Drive read his report on page 1.(Trip Report).

Oldwoo...

We will be requesting lakeside room after reading reviews in this forum. Are you renting a car or are you using shuttle? I am still in a quandry as to rent the van(288.00/wk Hertz) or use shuttle.

Frankly Im confused at two why my post was removed.. but anyway

I stayed there and loved it, Staybridge Suites.

I was like a home from home. The only negative things you hear are the small pool, tiny games room and excersise room. I doubt most people use those facilities so book away.

Its a good location and is very modern and clean.

I have stayed at Staybridge Suites Lake Buena Vista a few times and enjoyed it, only down side is no elevators. Breakfast was included and I thought that the choice wasn%26#39;t vast, but there was enough choice for us. We prefer LBV to International Drive area, but that is personal choice. LBV is nearer to Disney and good shopping /restaurants nearby as well.

Hi Am renting a car got 拢4 ripped off by first choice. The TA said she was doing us a favour .Husband not fussed but reading the reviews thats the price of a beer.LOL

Booked through TA same price as brochure but if you go on SUNCAR website (First choice) they are a tiny bit cheaper. Wanted a car as Hubby wants to go to Kennedy. Brother went and didnt take car had no problems he thought we were mad to drive but then he stayed IDrive. We also have never gone further to France on our travels and are regulars to Cornwall so felt that we need a car to escape the crowds if need be.

Little shocked as well, been playing around on their FC website and found out that if you are flying from Bristol as we are to Sanford 12/05/07 (Staying at the well reviewed Staybridge Suites) the outbound journey goes via Manchester with an hour stop. This info was only forthcoming when you go through to the last booking stage on website. The TA didnt tell us that. If you know me like UKTourer thats my worst nightmare. Phobia Hell. Not against Manchester but the whole plane thing.

NorthwestMum staybridge suites lbv seem to be booking up fast or is that another TA little fib. Via FC no suites left for our date so we were lucky. Wanted to leave on the Sat after school sats test other operators didnt fit in with this. Only disappointment for us was couldnt go for 3weeks. Virgin wanted nearly 拢5000 for the privilage.

Bertie luv reading your bits and bobs.
