Let me start with..I have never been to Key West and am just starting to look at info, did some searches and already need help. We are looking at February / March / April next year. Is there a Mardi Gras? St. Paddy%26#39;s Day festivities? We%26#39;ve heard parties in Key West are a lot of fun and think we%26#39;d like something that goes for a day or 2, while spending a full week there (need a few days of beach time). Suggestions? Experiences? Thanks!!!!
Best Time of Year to go???There are several St Paddy%26#39;s Day parties but if you are going to stay a week and want to experience something that goes on for a couple of days I would suggest you come in April. Conch Republic Days start 4/18/08 and run through 4/27/08. I%26#39;m sure you will find the activities entertaining. Plus the weather is beautiful in April.

Best Time of Year to go???Agreed! The Conch Republic celebration is a lot of fun... It includes drag racing on Duval Street... (Okay, we do it Key West style... they all wear high heels and glitter) The longest parade in the world... (It runs coast to coast... From the Atlantic at the south end of Duval to the Gulf at the north end... Advertised as a do-it-yourself parade. Everyone is welcome to join in. ';Leave your cars, leave the bars, become stars!';) The Bloody Battle... (A recreation of the great naval battle for Conch independence that never actually occured.) There%26#39;s a lot more but it%26#39;s all in good fun.
Besides... Every night in Key West is a party and everyone is invited.
for me i love october fantasy fest and december for New Years eve both are for adults not children
