Hotel facilities open to all???

Where ever I go I like to book budget hotels, but use the facilities such as pool, bar restaurants of the grander hotels.

When I was in Disney last, I spent alot of time at the Grand Floridian without problem. Are the majority of hotels open to non residents and accepting of this, has anyone else encountered any problems?

Also has anyone heard that you can spend a night in Cinderellas castle?

Hotel facilities open to all???

Well, you were lucky to not get caught.

The Disney resorts ';frown'; on non-resort guests using their facilities, and many times, you are asked to provide ';proof'; of occupancy. This is especially true of some of the pool areas, like Stormalong Bay.

The Cindy%26#39;s castle suites are part of the ';year of a million dreams'; promotion and you can win an overnight stay there, but you must be choosen to do so.

Hotel facilities open to all???

personally i think it%26#39;s a bit cheeky. i don%26#39;t see why somebody should just come and use the facilities we%26#39;ve paid for.

This happened to me when I went to a lovely 5 star hotel in Cyprus...we had 3 single girls all with kids who stayed in a very substandard budget hotel...they used the facilites of our hotel, even using the kids club and the all inclusive facilites. Personally it totally totally hacked me and my family off! Have a bit of respect and stick to what you have paid for.

It%26#39;s behaviour like this that causes facilities to take steps like forcing people to prove where they are staying or locking pools or restricting access in other ways (colour-coding towels that can only be received with your keycard for example). The next time someone is annoyed at having to prove their accomodations or otherwise annoyed by these consequences remember not to blame the hotel, blame the OP of this thread!

I don%26#39;t see a problem with going to the restaurants or the bar..that is a pay service. But using the pool????? That is TACKY. You want to use the pool....STAY there. Wally...that would be like..';I don%26#39;t really like my backyard (garden) so I am going to grill out and hang out in yours.';

What you are doing is called ';trespassing'; and you are fortunate not to have been caught. Why would you think it%26#39;s okay to use the facilities at a hotel you aren%26#39;t staying at?People pay a premium to stay at these hotels to use the facilities;you are entitled to use the ones at the hotel you are paying for.
