We are going to the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island in August. Has anyone been lately? How was the construction going? Noise? Mess? Inconvenience? Thanks!

Dont%26#39; know where all the concern over construction at the Ritz came from. They did some renovations there a couple years ago; some may still be ongoing, but there has never been a problem because of this. Nice property with the usual signature Ritz service. If you can afford to stay at the Ritz, you can afford to demand the best.

They are re-doing their spa this summer -- the website reservations section cautions of this. We have stayed there twice before and loved it -- we just want to make sure that the relaxation level isn%26#39;t compromised with construction noise and facilities closures.
I will be there this weekend and write a review when I return after 4th of JULY.

Just returned yesterday from the Ritz in Amelia. I didn%26#39;t notice any construction at all- certainly no noise or construction equipment or anything of that nature. Granted, we didn%26#39;t use the spa, but I don%26#39;t think there is currently any sort of major construction going on from what we saw. To be fair, they did pull up the lawn outside the Cafe 4750 one morning, but it was completely resodded and back to perfect a few hours later.
