Cancelled flights by Travel City Direct.

Hi.

I wonder how many thousands of us have had their holidays ruined by this action. for those who dont yet know, TCD are cancelling all their winter flights from Manchester to Sanford on Thursdays and Fridays. The y will still operate on Sat, Sun and Mon but unless you can change a) your holidays off work and b) your hotels dates then you are sunk, They are not even putting on extra flights on the new days so even if you can swop, you may be one of thousands battling for a few dozen places. Happy days eh. Refund offered but is that really enough for ruining plans for a holiday. NO IT IS NOT. The firm should pay additional costs involved in re-arranging the holiday with other airlines.

Thanks Juicy, I am on a thursday flight from Gatwick so fingers crossed nothing happens to that.

Any ideas on when winter season starts with TCD?

after 25 mins holding...and cancelled,,, full refund,,, not the point ...how many swear words can i say in ten seconds,,,,,,jeez,, that many.....

winter season tends to start Oct - Nov.

Have a look at Virgin Atlantic they have some good flight prices for November and December.

we go on the 1st Oct MONDAY our holiday is classed as summer 07 according to TCD

I wonder where all those people who said TCD were so wonderful and anyone booking through Virgin was a fool to pay that extra amount just to be a snob and fly Virgin

Sorry to hear of your holiday troubles, I think its really bad of TCD to do this, it would put me off flying with them again. Luckily for us First Choice have started flying from Bristol, only a 30 minute drive for us, so we are going with them. As other have said Virgin fly from Manchester, have you checked them out? Also check out teletext they may have some numbers you can ring to get flights.

Good luck, lets hope you get your holiday sorted. Shame on TCD another black mark on their name.
