Ok, I%26#39;m joking.

My point is, we get a lot of posting here asking, ';What is the BEST....?';

questions. They are silly questions, really, because what I might consider the best others might consider mediocre. It%26#39;s all a matter of personal taste. Requests for more specific info after doing some basic research will most likely get you better responses, as well as fewer sarcastic comments.

This is a very helpful forum, and most of us really want to help people have a good vacation.

Well said Sim. I would also go a little farther and hope that the people answering are taking into consideration what the poster is asking and try to give them some ideas on what would meet their wants instead of pushing one or two places only.

One thing I alway%26#39;s assume when someone asks for the ';best'; is they just don%26#39;t know how many places in Key West there are to eat, sleep, drink, etc. In order to answer a ';the best'; question you would have to eat, sleep or drink at all or these places. Is there anyone person who post here that can say this.

I have read reviews that say ';this place is the best'; and it the only place they have stayed.

I suggest lots of places I have not stayed or eaten at, based on others suggesting them, or having seen them while in KW. I WILL give honest opinions of places I have stayed, but just cuz I stayed there doesn%26#39;t mean it%26#39;s the ';best'; for the person looking for advice.

';Best'; is very subjective, especially with all that KW has to offer.

Years ago I like the graffiti covered restroom at Capt Tony%26#39;s. Not for function, but for its intrinsic art value. Then someone had the bright idea to paint it over. I wonder if the graffiti has returned?

Usually the closest one... lol... but yes it%26#39;s all in the eye of the beholder... better to ask a specific question about a place to stay, to eat etc. I MISS KW

I have to respond to the actual original quesiton, even if it wasn%26#39;t serious, because I remember being at the Conch Republic and seeing the funniest saying written on the wall there, next to where someone had originally scrawled ';ROLL TIDE';:

';Roll Tide. Around the bowl, down the hole. Roll, Tide, roll.';

I%26#39;m going to guess the best may be in the Marquesa but can%26#39;t confirm that. I may stop and ask if they have a restroom I can use next trip :-)

I am however positive the WORST is in Margaritaville.
