Things/moments that always signal the beginning of your hols

For me it%26#39;s the moment when you have checked in, handed over your bags and are getting a full English breakfast and a V%26amp;O at the Wetherspoons.

When all the planning has happened and there is nothing more you can do, tucking into some morning nosebag signals the beginning of the fun.

Things/moments that always signal the beginning of your hols

Mine starts earlier, Payne. As soon as the bags are packed, the water%26#39;s switched off and everyone is waiting anxiously looking out the window for the taxi. I can%26#39;t believe it%26#39;s nearly here too! We weren%26#39;t originally going to go with my parents this year (pregnancy dates meant I%26#39;d be too far gone to fly, but found out 18 weeks ago that I wasn%26#39;t as far gone as first thought!)

I%26#39;m going to try and break the habit of panicking as soon as the flight shows on the board - all the previous times I%26#39;ve panicked and said ';We need to get there RIGHT NOW!!!!'; lol!

Things/moments that always signal the beginning of your hols

Mine starts 21 days before I go.

Agree entirely. We always start our holiday with a full english and then we go to WH Smiths and buy books etc. We stay at a hotel at the airport the night before but we still count the start when I tuck into the bacon at brekkie! When do you go?

Trish

Hi Trish

I%26#39;ve normally chosen and packed the book by then but I will stop in to WH Smiths to buy a magazine for the plane journey. I%26#39;m dreadful for skim reading magazines in normal WH Smiths, so this is one of the few times that I actually buy one!

We head off on 14th Sept for 18 days and I%26#39;ve already checked that the North Terminal has a JD Wetherspoons.

When do you go?

Caroline - I empathise with fighting the urge to get to the gate RIGHT NOW. You know you%26#39;ve got plenty of time but there is still this fear that it might suddenly go without you or you turn up late and everyone glares at you as you take your seats.

Hi Payne

We go on Thursday! Off to Gatwick tomorrow!!!! We go North Terminal too - who are you flying with?

Trish

it is just great when luggage is checked in and get something to eat, then go to WH Smiths for mags as i have already go my books, then get eats for the plane as well

Mine starts when I step off the plane and feel the heat.

Mine starts from that moment when you have heaved the cases down the stairs and are checking the house room by room and finally get to the front door.

Good one Chinners! We are one day behind you and am counting down with you ..... longest 3 weeks of our lives perhaps?

You%26#39;ve landed, been through customs, got your bags and in Sanford it%26#39;s when you cross over that little road on the way to the welcome centre/car rental desk and you feel the heat (and have to remember to look the other way when crossing the road!!)

Either that or when you%26#39;re getting shot out of the Hulk at IOA at high speed!!

52 days - can%26#39;t wait!!
