Where to stay before cruise

Going on a Carnival Cruise 8/23, flying in 8/22, need one nights accommodations. Is it best to stay near port? or are there places that will shuttle you to the port for your cruise?

Where to stay before cruise

It depends on what you want to do the night before. If you just want a place to sleep and a don%26#39;t care what you eat then stay close to the port.

But if you have never been to Miami or Miami Beach you should stay on South Beach, that is my vote South Beach. South Beach is a short cab ride to the port, and I bet some of the hotels have a shuttle to the port (not sure though). South Beach has some of the best restaurants in the city, many different styles of restaurants to choose from. There is tones of shopping just in case you forgot something, that is in walking distance. The hottest night clubs and bars in the city are also there. And last the beach of course.

If you never have been to Miami or Miami Beach, stay in South Beach on Miami Beach. The majority of stuff is located from 17th street south to 5th street so stay as close to this area and you will be in walking distance to many things.
