We had planned on going to Gatorland, however after reading some of the reviews, we%26#39;re having second thoughts. We only need to kill a few hours, as we need to be at MCO for our flight to Altanta at around 2pm (the flight doesn%26#39;t leave until 4pm).
Don%26#39;t really fancy Wonderworks - not only might we do this on another day during the trip, but we would want to spend a full day there.
Any inspiration?
Idea for last day
We normally go to Seaworld but don%26#39;t normally need to be at MCO airport until 4pm - have you looked at one of the mini golf courses at all?
Idea for last day
I would give Gatorland a go. We went in November 2005 and quite enjoyed it. I think the reason it gets such negative reviews is because it is such a culture shock after the sparkly clean Disney and Universal attractions! They have a boardwalk through a wooded area at the back over swamps and it takes about 20 minutes to walk through there - it was the only time in the two weeks we were there last time that we felt that we had seen a bit of what Orlando used to be like!
We did not watch the shows - not my cup of tea, but if you read the stuff about how they care for the animals and the awards they have won, it can%26#39;t be that bad!
You will only need a couple of hours there.
Hope this helps
Trish
We always go shopping. We feel it our duty to spend all those dollars we have left.
My mum%26#39;s disabled so can%26#39;t walk, and hubby%26#39;s a golfer so gets all competitive (and gloats that he always wins).
I%26#39;m really not a very big shopper either - we plan on going to Lake Buena Vista, Orlando Premium and Mall at Millenia, but that%26#39;s about it.
Is Gatorland disabled friendly? Will it fit the wider wheelchairs, rather than the standard thin ones?
i dont like to think of the last day, there were tears last time we left and that was from me
will take it as it comes
HI there
Try Wallmarts my wife loves it, or a day at the Florida Mall on the Orange blossom trail, she loves that too.........
Hope you have a great time.

Hi
From recollections I would say it is disability friendly. The paths and boardwards are wide and I do not remember many, if any, steps.

HI
One a serious note, when we went to Florida my wife%26#39;s mother who was in a wheel chair and a bit on the large size ';god bless her'; was always the first to put her name down on the, I am going list we always went as a very large group.
Where ever we went in Florida and Gator land one one of them the facilities there were to say the least ';Exceptional '; she was treated like royalty, with all facilities to ensure se had a fantastic time.
As I said my wifes mother went with us at least 6 or 7 times so if you need any other info then post accordingly.
have a great time
....ourmurphy.......
I would go shopping, or just chill by the pool. As for Wonderworks, it will not take you a full day to do this. We went on the night and were in there 2-3 hours tops.
My only issue with WonderWorks is my daughter would want to do EVERYTHING. Twice lol! We%26#39;ll probably do that on one of our non-park days though.
