Any suggestions on some different types of attractions you might suggest? We have been to key west about a half a dozen times and were looking for something differnet to plan. I had thought about the dinner cruise that I have read about on this forum. We usually like to rent some bikes for a day and travel around town. Anything special that we might want to see? I%26#39;ve seen the ghost tour on the Travel Channel, is it really any good? How about any gardens or the such? Glassbottom Boats? Sorry, I%26#39;ve been looking through the attractions here on TA. But any help will do.

Don, you can help us help you... what have you already done here. What do you enjoy?
BTW, look up %26#39;Ghost Tour%26#39; in the %26#39;search in%26#39; box just above the message area. You%26#39;ll find a lot of opinions and the differences between the ghost tours. That%26#39;ll give you a start.

Another quick thought... You might want to review the insiders page about links to various Key West attractions and information:

The Ghost Tour you saw on the Travel Channel was the Original Ghost Tour. I have been on that one and another one but I prefer the original. I really liked it and it was one of the few things I would join people visiting me, to do with them.

Have you been to the Butterffly Conservatory? It%26#39;s teeny, but I%26#39;ve been three times and would go again in a heartbeat.
It%26#39;s been years since we did the glassbottom boat, and though it wasn%26#39;t particularly remarkable, it%26#39;s one of those things that%26#39;s good to do at least once. We were told to take the older boat where you walk down the stairs and sit to look out at the water rather than the newer catamarans where you lean over (which apparently are more apt to make you seasick).

We have been to Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, the Buterfly Conservatory, the cemetery, the Earnest Hemingway House, the lighthouse, the seaplane and ferry to Dry Tortugas, and sunset cruises on the catermaran and the historic ship. And we have usually rented bikes and traveled around the island. We enjoy nature and gardens, but aren%26#39;t really into watersports. Just looking for something different or maybe even just a different take on some things that we have done.
i posted this awhile back. got some great responses. books are the key to key west (first time or 7th time). get enough of them and you will have all the options at your finger tips. and you help the economy. i posted the following some time ago. find the thread and look at the other recs. all were good. can never read too much is my motto. life is too short to be uninformed, eh?

my key west guide book collection is now officially an addiction. these are what sits stacked before me currently on my desk. ';Keys to Paradise,'; ';Quit Your Job and Move to Key West,'; ';Hemingway%26#39;s Key West,'; ';Frommer%26#39;s South Florida,'; %26amp; ';Insider%26#39;s Guide Eleventh Edition Florida Keys and Key West.'; Am I missing anything vital or even not vital? Help me feed the addiction.
Key West Botanical Garden 鈥?free!!!! (But you have to get to Stock Island)
Eco Discovery Center 鈥?also free!!!! (next to Fort Zach)
(and while you%26#39;re there, check out the Cutter Mohawk next door.)
Ditto Nancy%26#39;s Secret Garden (6 bucks, I believe)
Audubon House (11 bucks)
There%26#39;s an orchid tour -- known, I believe, as the Orchid Lady tour -- that shows you some excellent orchid-laden gardens.
We have a submarine now. It%26#39;s somewhat spendy at $90ish, but if you%26#39;re not a diver or a snorkeler, I figure it%26#39;s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Still in a bit of post-Wilma disrepair, the nature trails at Indigenous Park (across from Higgs Beach) are pretty interesting if you%26#39;re REALLY into plants.
Custom House and West Martello, for a one-two punch of Key West history and atmosphere.
Ouch... Should never type when sleepy. That would be the museum at East Martello. Not to be confused with the gardens across the road that PJK suggested, which are also a good choice.
I was thinking next trip we might try Lloyds Tropical Bike Tour. Have you done this yet? He sounds interesting %26amp; like it would be a fun new look at KW.
