Panic! Booked our holiday to Florida for Aug 2008 for our family of 4 last week with TCD, upgraded to Sunshine First but have since read nothing but horror stories! We have travelled with them twice before - once during Hurricane Charlie and whilst they weren%26#39;t fantastic, they weren%26#39;t exactly rubbish either. Now I%26#39;m considering cancelling and foregoing our 拢500+ deposit (and no we are not made of money). Hubby insists we stay with what we%26#39;ve booked because the hotel is great (we%26#39;ve stayed there before) but I%26#39;m not convinced.

Seriously, I wouldn%26#39;t worry too much about it - 拢500 is a lot of money! Have you read the other posts of TCD? There are quite a few!

Go with what is true today,you are going as booked until you hear any different ,we are going on the 1st Oct.that is classed as summer 07 think how we are feeling .....I dont hear the fat lady singing yet..

we went with TCD in June last year and had a great time. The flight was very busy but we had a great villa, and booked a car too and had no hitches whatsoever.

I know not everyone has had great experiences with them but some of us have!

I would stick with them and not loose your deposit. Having to fork out another deposit if you change booking is money you could use to spend while you%26#39;re there.

We have always used TCD twice a year for years now and they have always been fine.

Why throw away 拢500 if you don%26#39;t have to? The problems here seem to be mainly relating to winter flights, if the worst happens and yours is cancelled, yes it%26#39;s very inconvenient and annoying but you will get your money back and can rebook elsewhere.

It is not worth worrying about something that may never happen!

You could book with any company and something may happen in the meantime.....TCD had to cancel our holiday and very quickly refund us in full when we were due to fly out 2 days after September 11th. We rebooked with another company and flew out a week later.

Holidays are meant to be a break from work not more work!

I know how you feel, I am going 27th Sept this year and am stressing they may cancel my flight if it is not full.

Dont loose all that money, think how far 拢500 can get you, and as others have said if the worst happens you can always change it if and when the time comes.
