You cant go wrong with the Marriott Harbor Beach....My favorite in FLL.

Maybe you%26#39;ll want to clarify ';right on the beach'; Most of our hotels are not directly on the beach- as it is mainly publicly owned. Many hotels are across the street ( A1A which is four lanes). The Harbor Beach Marriott is ';on the sand'; as is the Lago Mar Resort, and the Pelican Grande- though the Pelican is at the north end of the beach and pretty far from the Port. The Sheraton Yankee Clipper is mostly ';on the sand '; and usually a little lower priced than the others in general, although their least expensive rooms are generally in an %26#39;annex'; building that is also across A1A ( even some listed as %26#39;ocean view'; are across the road but on a high floor. ) The Best Western Oceanside is the most moderately priced of the ';on the beach';hotels, though I got in quite a dust up with one gentleman on Cruise Critic for calling it that- it is on the beach ( sand) side, but there is one building of the Yankee Clipper that sits so that it is between Best Western and the ocean and you have to walk down the side of the Clipper and around to actually get on the beach. Many, however, feel that is a small price to pay as it is clean , well priced and serves a nice free breakfast- which none of the others do.

If being across A1A from the Beach fits your %26#39;on thebeach'; definition, there are a few others like Sheraton Yankee Trader ( has an elevated walkway over the road). There is also a new Courtyard by Marriott across the street from the sand that might be a good choice, depending on your dates. It was supposed to open in September, but that doesn%26#39;t look likely to me - perhaps if you%26#39;re not cruisng till winter it will be a possibility. Seems to be coming in between the Yankee Clipper and the Marriott Harbor Beach with the prices I%26#39;ve seen listed. But once again- across from, not ';on '; the beach.
