Hi
Has anyone flown US Airways. Dublin to Orlando, via Philadelphia?
If so, are they ok and on time or not?
Thanks
US Airways Dublin to MCO
USAirways is one of the major national carriers in the US, so you%26#39;ll have no problem with them as far as service, and they%26#39;ll be as on time as any other major carrier.
US Airways Dublin to MCO
Anyone else had any experience of them?
I had a look. The prices are quite high. Have you priced BA?
Do BA fly from Dublin? I wll have a look, thanks.
Yes via Gatwick %26amp; I have always found them very cheap compared even to the low cost airlines. They also fly to Tampa.
For what it%26#39;s worth -- I know that things change at the drop of a hat, but I consistently find the better airfares on Aer Lingus (connecting to Delta, usually) when we holiday in Ireland. (I know -- booking Dublin-Orlando doesn%26#39;t always result in the same price as Orlando-Dublin!)
Just so you know -- the biggest US carriers are (in no particular order) American, Delta, Continental, USAirways, and United -- they%26#39;ll have the most flights, and be the most reliable of the US-based carriers....but the pricing, as you know, is much the same as a lottery -- you might get lucky, you might not!
We flew with American airlines from Dublin to MCO a few weeks ago. We made our connection in Chicago. All flights were on time and we had no problems at all. The air hostess also told us what gate to go to in Chicago to get our connecting flight to MCO. The only problem we encountered was that when we went to check in my husband and I were not seated together as the flight was fully booked. But we simply asked for emergency exits and our seats were changed. This also happened on the way home but again if you don%26#39;t ask you don%26#39;t get. All staff were very pleasant and I would fly with them again. Hope you have an excellent time, but I know you will!!
hi we always found delta or continental to be the cheapest when flying dublin to orlando. With delta you change in atlanta and then its a 1.5 hour flight to orlando and with continental you change in new york with a 2-3 hour flight to orlando . Checkout www.kayak.com for the best flight options
Just checked Kayak and BA is coming out cheapest.
Us Air doesnt fly from any part of Britian to Orlando MCO.
Neither do any of the other americian carriers.
They take you to another airport sometimes 2 or 3.
And in my experience that is where the problem lies.
You invariably spend a good long time doing a plane change. which makes it a long traveling day even when every thing goes right.
Then if they dont have any seat for your on you designated connection plane they give you seat on the next that does. sometimes that%26#39;s 6-8 hours later.
Sometimes next day, or the day after that. At busy times frequent fliers will often take your apex seats and leave you with what ever there is left Sometimes its very little or nothing.
Out of 6 trips booked with Delta 3 have gone wrong. Out of 5 booked with North West 4 have gone wrong
Just be warned and be aware this can and does happen
Personally with all the direct flights going from Britain to Orlando if I cannot get 2 to 6 seats of them I shall stay at home
