Diving in Florida

We%26#39;re coming to Florida in September and want to do some diving. Both advanced divers.

Can anyone recommend any good sites / operators?

Preference is reef/drift dives to see e.g. rays, turtles, perhaps even the odd shark

will have a car so travel not an issue

appreciate any feedback

Where in Florida are you going to be?

Drift dives -- Fort Lauderdale and environs

Reefs -- you have to go to the Keys.

Diving in Florida

will be flying in and out of orlando

but will hire a car and travel as far as the keys

prepared to travel to any location in Florida so long as the diving is likely to be worthwhile

I recommend diving from Pompano to Fort Lauderdale. South Florida Dive Headquarters has several boats - one is a glass bottom. Call ahead, as some dives are only to 30 feet due to student divers. Most dives are 60 foot drift dives. Lots to see. Turtles, sharks, morays, octopus (nights), rays - pretty much everything.
