We are going to the beach in October can you recommend any Motels that are clean with a good rate? We are only staying 3 days as we have already been this year and stayed 4 days. We stayed at the Flamingo Motel which was nice ,the only thing I did not like was the hot tub as it was not clean. I have never stayed at a condo as it seems higher than motels when we go which is usually in May and October. There are 6 of us. thanks for any suggestions you might have. All is nice and quiet today on the posts compared to the weekend ,huh. Maybe she%26#39;s vacated the posts lol......... ROLL TIDE........
boysofsummer Question
You can find some really great deals in October on VRBO. You should check it out. Sometimes you can find deals on there that you will just flip over and when you compare it to a motel price it really isn%26#39;t a lot of difference on some of the condos. We stayed at listing #81158 in October last year and we only paid $498 for 4 nights. We thought that was a great deal and it was a 2 bedroom/2 bath with a fold out couch. It looks just like the pics show and it was so clean and updated. The beds were so comfy and the kids said the sofa bed was comfy also. This condo is tower 3 room 505 at Edgewater. That is a nice place with plenty of hot tubs and a really nice lagoon pool.
boysofsummer Question
Do check out vrbo.com. During my extensive searches I%26#39;ve seen 1 bedroom rates as low as $89 per night that time of year at most of the new condos. Alot of owners will drop rates %26amp; negotiate in order to rent their units. Legacy, Beachcomber, Beachbreak by the Sea %26amp; the new Palmetto would probably be your best choice for a motel.
I read alot of great reveiws about Sunset Inn and the Seafoam motel. They said both were extremely clean, family run and the reveiws could not have beeb any nicer about the falies running them.Seafoam is just across a tiny street to the gulf and you can see the gulf from motel. The walk to beach would be shorter than at the big high rises and I bet they have great rates at that time of year.I read the reveiws at yahoo travel.Hope this helps.
Hi,its me again, but I would love to stay at the Seafoam for a couple of days, just for nostalgia reasons. The small motels are being torn down left and rigjht and i%26#39;d like to stay in a mom and pop before thy are gone.I probably wont get to though, because I have to have a dishwasher, even though I dont cook, and a washer and dryer.I%26#39;m a little spoiled and don%26#39;t want to have to wash any glasses or cereal bowls, etc while on vacation.Time there is too short for those chores, lol.
Thank You, ilovepcbeach, do you know if the Seafoam motel has a website? I have seen the web site for the Sunset Inn and yes they do have very good reviews. I just want someplace clean and with a heated pool , just in case October is to cold for a non heated pool. I always get a room with a kitchen but I swear that is just a waste because I always say we will use the kitchen but we don%26#39;t. We end up eating out every night . I love Angelos and The BoatYard. This next time I want to try Pier 77 . I%26#39;ve heard great reviews on that place. We do not get to go on vacation often so we end up eating out every night. We usually order pizza one night and eat it by the pool. We stayed at Flamingo in May and it was a nice room with a full kitchen. In October their rates are cheap for the Tower rooms, but I would like to try someplace different. Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I should branch out and try a condo. It seems everyone does the condos now .
