First Choice from Bristol

Hi

Anyone flown with First Choice from Bristol to Sanford. What are the seat arrangements in standard class? It will be so great to return from Orlando with only a 25 minute drive home.

First Choice from Bristol

Hi, we flew to Sanford from Bristol in May. Had to get off plane and go back into terminal for 2 hours whilst the hydraulics were being fixed - then made our way up to Manchester for fuel - another hour.

Apparently they have to fly to Manchester for more fuel because Bristol%26#39;s runway is not big enough to let the plane take off with a full tank. They only do this on the outbound journey though.

Anyway, after all this, settled well into the flight. We had economy seats (bigger seat pitch than Virgin). Seat back tv%26#39;s, free headsets, plenty of movie and game choice without paying 拢5.00 upgrade, full meal first then a snack towards the end of the flight, complimentary travel pack and happly cheerful staff.

In my opinion this flight was better than Virgin and Sanford is a much better airport to fly into.

Seat configuration on plane is 2 3 2.

Hope this helps - enjoy your hols!

Thanks for that info, great to hear free headsets and 2-3-2 seats, might even get a window seat if I%26#39;m lucky!

Not a local airport for you, Liverpool is a fair old way to Bristol, did you get a good deal?

We flew with First Choice twice last year from Gatwick and were very impressed, the experience was just as good if not better than BA and Virgin (certainly more room!!). I didn%26#39;t like the idea of having to go to Sanford, but we were processed so much more quickly than at Orlando Airport. When we went in December it was admittedly quiet, but we were in our hire car 20 minutes from stepping off the plane - amazing!

Later this month we are flying from Bristol, and, like you, I%26#39;m so looking forward to not having to face the long drive back from Gatwick after a night flight. Let%26#39;s hope the Bristol route continues - I was told by a First Choice agent that they might not operate it long term. Although it%26#39;s been really popular, they want to trial other long haul flights (eg Mexico) from Bristol as well.

Apparently Bristol to Orlando is availabe for 2008, Dominican Republic has been withdrawn and Mexico added, due to not enough passengers. I think they need to advertise these routes more, what about all the people in Devon and Cornwall, even worse for them to get to Gatwick.

We have been to Florida 6 times and have flown from Gatwick X 3 and Cardiff X 3. last year our luggage was trashed at Cardiff, (was replaced, free of charge) the year before we waited 2 hours at baggage reclaim in Gatwick, which delayed our drive home and we ended up hitting the rush hour on the M25. Not good when you%26#39;ve had a sleepless flight home. So lets hope Bristol flights remain, as I should be home within an hour of landing at Bristol (including baggage reclaim)
