Sandford v Orlando international

Have to say Sandford is completely a stress free Airport. No queues at Passport control. Very helpful when i cocked up on filling in green form. In and out with luggage in 30 mins. On dep 1 of kids had a jar of barbecue sauce in hand luggage. Official very nice about it. Posed for a photo with said teenager as proof of purchase for recipient before disposal. A much different story in Orlando 2 years ago. Long queues and delays. Spend more money due to variety of shops when there is a delay.

I need to check out flyglobespan.com about maybe flying from Sanford to Glasgow (sorry about the flaming Jeep today) or Belfast. Or consult a Norwegian neighbor of a friend about Icelandair to Oslo.

M-Touristik AG is planning nonstops to and from Melbourne International Airport and Berlin. So do I really want to visit Berlin?

I think it%26#39;s a case of 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other, tbh.

Sanford Airport is at least another half an hour up the I-4. Which means if you%26#39;re staying in a villa in Kissimmee (as we will be) it%26#39;ll take me an hour to get there. Not to mention stopping off at the supermarket on the way there.

Yes, Sanford is a much smaller airport with less foot and air traffic, but I much prefer the nearness of MCO, even with all the hustle and bustle that comes with it. I really don%26#39;t fancy driving for what amounts to be an hour, after a 9 and a half hour flight.

After flying out of Ohare all of the time, I found MCO very nice...not overcrowded, easy to get around. I can not believe that there is another airport so close by that is SMALLER??? Wow, have to check it out.

sanford was fine the staff at immingration with helpful and stess free which helps after a long journey

Sanford is much easier than MCO. Staff are friendlier, and as a small airport it is less stressful to pass through with less chance of major delays.

The drive from the airport is easier as well, have never found it a problem driving an extra few miles.

We%26#39;re going Globespan from Glasgow to Sanford at the end of August so I%26#39;ll let you know what it%26#39;s like. There has been a few problems with this route and others but here%26#39;s hoping.

We%26#39;re taking a week at Disney Vero Beach then two weeks at Saratoga Springs. Might see you there
