Anyone use a Sony Handycam Camcorder while on vacation?

Been looking to purchase a easy, not too expensive DVD camcorder for vacation this year (leaving in 3 weeks!). We%26#39;re doing discovery cove for the first time, and would like to film it, plus all of the other good stuff! Anyone have the Sony Handycam 105 or 108? Seems to get good reviews, and not too expensive, just wanted the opinions from ';expert'; travelers from this sight! Thanks, and if you don%26#39;t have this camcorder, can anyone recommend one?

Hi I purchased a Sony Handycam 105 for our trip last year to Orando. It was a good price, compact, easy to use - the latter being especially important as none of us in our family are very high tech minded souls! Overall it was grand but one huge word of warning that sadly we didn%26#39;nt receive. Only use Sony Dvds. The camera shop sold us another cheaper brand and out of 8 DVDs we used, only two played back and even then froze constantly! So our footage of Orlando sadly is very poor. After that we only used the Sony ones and a year later, are very happy with the quality and playback and never experienced the problems again. Its really a basic point and record camcorder for basic use which was fine for us! Please feel free to ask anything more specific if you want to know anything else.
