Can anyone recommend a good hotel around the baseball stadium? If we stay near to stadium will a car be needed? If not is public transportation good in Miami?

If you are visiting Dolphns Stadium/Marlins Baseball, I can tell you that the area around the stadium is not particularly nice nor is it tourist friendly. If you STILL want to visit and stay in that area, a popular spot just off the 826 expressway (not far from the park) is called El Palacio Boutique hotel.

The hotel is reviewed many times on this site and though mixed, most people liked it. There are rooms with jacuzzi tubs en suite and big flat screened TVs too. There is a sports bar on site if you%26#39;re a sports bar guy.

The location is not near the beach - in fact it%26#39;s VERY near the stadium. If you are driving, it is 5-10 minutes to the stadium. If you would like to park %26amp; ride, the best option is to drive eastbound on the Palmetto (826) 2 minutes to the ';Golden Glades'; Interchange and follow the signs to the Tri-Rail train parking lot and take a park and ride shuttle bus to the stadium to avoid the traffic and hassle of trying to approach the game with all the other fans (this way you might enjoy a few beers at the game without a problem). Best of all - the parking is FREE and the ROUND TRIP shuttle is only $5 (can%26#39;t beat that!!)
