We may be visiting AMI at the end of July or in August. Trying to plan the trip right now. Never even heard of this paradise until yesterday. A friend suggested renting condos in Anna Maria Island Club where her sister owns a few units. Is this a great location on the island?
We are planning to fly into Tampa and rent a car to drive to AMI and then back to the airport at the end of the week. I heard that car rental is insanely expensive. Any tips to save $$$?

Anna Maria Island Club?Priceline will accept a bid for $14 per day (I started at $5 per day and worked up), unlimited for a compact car. That%26#39;s half of Hotwire and other sites. You have to bid though and will not know your provider until you have won. We are going at the end of July so you should be able to get the same price.
